Promote Your Website With EmailAre you including a signature on all of your emails? If you are communicating with clients & customers via email and you are not including your signature on it, it would be like sending somebody a letter on a blank sheet of paper without the company heading on it, so why do I so often get emails, even from web veterans, without a signature (sig)? Nobody should ever have to ask you for your URL by email. Every email program that I know of has a feature which automatically inserts a "signature file" at the end of every message and reply. Your signature file should contain the following information:
Signature files are a great way to promote your online business without offending the people who read your messages. If you offer free information, products, services, or tips on your website, you can include a simple line pointing people to your free products or information. For example: ************************************************** The Berger Group "Bridging the gap between technology & marketing" http://www.thebergergroup.com Email: info at thebergergroup.com Tel:(518) 542-5586 Fax: (518) 435-1735 *************************************************** Signature files are very important for building brand name recognition, especially if your website is a good source of information. We have bookmarked many websites that we found via sig files because the website was a good source of information. People are more likely to buy from you if they have bookmarked your website - it usually means that they trust your information. Now, wasn't that simple? The best part is that it is free! © 2001 The Berger Group. All rights reserved |
