Naresh Malkani, President and CEO of Indiaproperties.com, recently provided information on real estate in India as a panel participant at the mid-year meeting for the National Association of REALTORS.
The Indiaproperties web site, which creates a strong network of over 4,000 brokers and builders, provides information on tens of thousands of listed properties, covering more than 176 towns and cities all over India. The network creates India's largest and most comprehensive real estate service company with 18 offices across India.
Malkani was born into a real estate brokerage family in Pune, India. Introduced to the business at a young age, he helped his family build one of the most successful brokerage firms in the region. In 1983, after earning an MBA, he relocated to the United States and joined Shannon & Luchs Realty in Washington, DC.
Five years later, he set up a RE/MAX office and added another office to build his business to over 86 associates. Malkani served as a member of the panels of Moderate Housing and the Ethics and Professional Standards Committee while working in the United States. In 1997, he took the bold step of relocating to India to establish Indiaproperties.com. He is responsible for executing and developing strategic business relations in India and abroad.
Indiaproperties had also joined RELO, the largest global network, and their 800 real estate companies and 90,000 members that specialize in relocation. Their participation continues the expansion of RELO into the international market, along with existing members in Canada, Mexico, Europe, and the newest addition, The Italian Network.
