The IRED Directory started, the way many popular sites on the WEB have, as a way to manage an out-of-control Bookmark list of 45 U.S. real estate sites. Today, the Directory has over 50,000 real estate related WEB sites listed from around the world.
The original directory began in 1993, while I was recuperating from by-pass surgery. Seventeen years later, I am facing surgery to replace the orignal by-pass and another lengthly recuperation.
I am now faced with a limited amount of time that can be spent on IRED. It is now time to start winding things down.
Effective immediatley, IRED will no longer accept advertising banners or paid-for Bold links.
The current directory will continue without new additions or site ratings.
On behalf of all of us at IRED, I want to express my sincere appreciation and gratitude to all the real estate professionals and consumers who have helped build IRED over the years. Because, without you, we'd be just another web site.

Becky had a set-back, and they had to perform surgery again last night to try and control an infection. She is back in her room now, but will remain in the hospital a while longer.

Becky is in room #626 at South Western Medical Center in Dallas, TX. Her surgery was today, and she will remain in the hospital for another 8-10 days.
